LANDER TRAILs
WE LOVE OUR LOCAL TRAILS. BUILT AND MAINTAINED BY HAND. IN PARTNERSHIP WITH BLM, USFS, WYOMING STATE PARKS, WYOMING GAME & FISH, FREMONT COUNTY and THE CITY OF LANDER.
Join us for a ride!
The BUS
LOCAL FAVORITE! Located just 3 miles outside of town. If you’re out there, we see you! We’re building community one trail at a time. Best in the Spring and Fall. Watch out for Rattlesnakes and be kind to all trail users. Yield, use your bell, be aware, and leave no trace.
Johnny Behind the Rocks (JBR)
We’ve been working on building this trail system, by hand, in partnership with the BLM for two decades! No wonder they list it in their “Top 20 MTB Sites”. Best in Spring and Fall, early morning and evenings throughout the summer. Bring water and snacks. If this trail system is muddy… if you make tracks, head back!
Sinks Canyon/Upper & Lower Brewers
You know how your parents aren’t supposed to have a favorite child? Yeah. We know. We love all of our trails equally but…Sinks Canyon State Park and Upper and Lower Brewers are not to be missed. Lake views? Yes. Aggressive moose? Maybe. There’s nothing more LANDER than this spectacular canyon. NEW SUNNYSIDE TRAIL COMING SOON!! Fall of 2024. Thank you to Wyoming Game and Fish, and Sinks Canyon State Park for working with us to build an accessible, beginner trail connecting existing assets in the park.
Alpine SCIence center
Located at the mouth of Sinks Canyon, this 130 acre college campus is a TRAIL LABORATORY. We’ll let you have a moment with that thought. Open to the public, recreate with care.
TRAILS TAKE WORK
ALL YEAR LONG
We love a good trail work day. Winter and Summer. That feeling of pride that comes after a day of hard work, when you’re all sweaty and covered in dirt. We’re here for it. You can join us anytime. We’ve got some projects, some new trails, some secret places that we dream about all winter while we’re grooming fatbike trails for multi-use access. You’re welcome to join us. Trust us, your help matters. We dig it! WE’VE GOT NEW TOOLS FOR 2024!! THANK YOU LANDER DISTRICT RECREATION BOARD and THE LOR FOUNDATION!
