I got into mountain biking in 2020 while living in Washington State, during what I like to call my Elle Woods moment. A cool, outdoorsy guy broke up with me, and instead of wallowing, I decided to make him absolutely rue the day. So I bought a Canyon Spectral and never looked back. I dove headfirst into the sport and went on to start a women’s MTB group in Washington that has since grown to more than 2,000 members—proof that angry women get stuff done!

After moving to Lander in 2022, I fell in love with a whole new style of riding. Trading Washington’s tree-covered hillsides for Wyoming’s rolling terrain and endless views has been an incredible shift. You’ll often find me out on the trails with my tripod dog, Peggy—a total ripper and an absolute unit on the trails. Riding here has deepened my appreciation for how different landscapes shape not just the trails, but the community around them.

My favorite part of being involved with the cycling club is helping bring our events to life, like the Jurassic Classic and WYO 131 (find me for face glitter at either of these events). There’s something special about seeing how mountain biking brings people together, no matter where you’re from or what kind of bike you ride. When I’m not on the trails, I’m usually making art, hiking, or enjoying our backyard sauna.
