I got my first mountain bike—a rigid Surly Krampus—back in 2016. I was drawn to the sport by my interest in bikepacking, and my first trip was incredibly humbling, but it also awakened a part of me that wanted to get better and go further. Since then, I've expanded my riding to include more dedicated trail riding, and I've added a gravel bike to the stable.

What I love most about cycling around Lander is the unique landscape where the desert meets the mountains, allowing for a day spent riding in both environments. I can go from the solitude of the desert on my gravel bike to seeing friendly faces on local singletrack like Brewers. The freedom that comes from being on a bike is unmatched. Through the cycling club, I want to ensure that anyone in our community has an avenue to experience this same joy and freedom.

Outside of cycling, I have two canine companions that explore with me the places bikes can't go. I also enjoy the hunting opportunities that Wyoming provides, as well as working in my woodshop to bring the ideas in my head into the physical world.
